Summer Brief

TASK 1

As apart of our summer brief we were asked to find 10 articles/ designers/ links/ studios/artist from ilovetypography.com that we found sparked our creative interests and explain the reasons behind selecting them, along with analysing there true purpose and meaning. I selected these 10 different examples from a wide rang of articles/ studios/ designers/designers work and links from ilovetypogaphy.com ranging from the history of type to the billboard designs .

Although I had completed 10 I seemed yo have misplaced 1 analysis, explanation and image.

TASK 2 

The second task we were given was to collect 30 example of each letterform in the alphabet, we were asked NOT to present these examples in any kind of book or sketchbook format, however to be more creative with the way we collect and present them. I decided to use the internet as my main source however also used magazines, typography books, newspapers and other forms of media to collect what was required for this task. 

After collecting all of these examples individually (30 examples times 26 letterforms = 780 individual examples) I decided to present my findings in the form of postcards.

TASK 3 

After collating all this research on ilovetypography.com and after collecting 30 examples of each letterform we were then asked to produce a typeface that represented our personality, that reflected our creative ability and that represented our life/background, this could be in any form of media however the final resolution must of been in a 10, 10x10cm print format.
